 Czech Republic :  The Czech people have the highest beer consumption per capita in the world. Its first known brewery existed in 993. Pilsners were originated here as did the first ever blond pilsners. There are several beer festivals hosted annually.

 

 Romania : In 1889 the Romanian city of  Timisoara became the first in Europe to have electric street lighting.

 

 Slovakia : Wooden Čičmany village at the foothill of the Strazov Hills will blow your mind! All the gingerbread houses are original! The first mention of the village dates back to the year 1272.


 
Bulgaria :  The famous Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg has a Bulgarian origin and he is named after his Bulgarian grandfather - Marko. His grandfather has emigrated from Bulgaria in 1940. 
 

 Turkey : The Turks introduced Coffee to Europe

Finally, after some problems with the car, we left with 48 hour delay... So we departed from Folkestone on sunday 15th at 3 am, then arrived in Calais at 4. 30 am. We then drove non-stop from Calais via Belgium and Germany ( loved the autobahn with no speed limit ) to get to Czech Republic at 5.30 pm, right on time to register before the closing time at 6pm. So it was close but we made it ! there are approximately 900 participants, the ratio of women per men is of 3 women for 35 guys ! There was around 450 cars We got to see some Mongol Wrestling vs participants and some fire show ! We are on the road !! Finalement, après quelques problèmes avec la voiture, nous sommes parties avec 48 heures de retard ...  Nous sommes donc parties de Folkestone le dimanche 15 à 3 heures du matin, puis nous sommes arrivés à Calais à 4h30 du matin. Nous avons ensuite conduit sans escale de Calais via la Belgique et l'Allemagne (nous avons adoré l'autoroute sans limite de
